The options dialog controls general GSEOS settings. Any modifications you make to the settings in the options dialog are written to the gseos.ini file to make them permanent. Some of the options only take effect after you restart the system. We will mention for each option for which this is the case.
The Stale Data Settings group controls when data is flagged as stale. You can enable/disable stale data notification on a global level. The global setting is overriden by the individual settings of a data item. In addition you can specify the global timeout period after which data is considered stale.
