GSEOS Version Control
The GSEOS software consists of several files. To ensure consistency a three-part version number, i.e.: 5.2.186 is used. The first two parts indicate the major and minor version number and the third the release number of the software. The version number can be determined with the Windows explorer by selecting properties and then Version. When running GSEOS you can access the version information from the Help/About menu or programmatically:

Specific missions have their own versioning scheme independent of the GSEOS software. This way we can ensure consistency of mission specific extensions. Upgrade instructions are posted with the individual releases. Most of the upgrades are cummulative and will contain the complete installation. Bug fixes and patches are released on a as-needed basis and install instructions will be posted with these.

Releases
All official releases undergo unit and integration tests. To ensure quick response times we sometimes release hot fixes which undergo less stringent
testing and will be evaluated with the customer.

Archives
All download archives are password encrypted and need the proper key to be unlocked. To install extract the files including the directory structure into
your GSEOS root directory (the root directory is where the gseos.exe executable resides).
